It’s been a long time since we have released a King of the Ring match and we’re thrilled to have an outstanding match-up that will crown a new and exciting KOTR today! Rex Bedford held the belt for several year beating foes such as Dash Decker and Ethan Andrews before he exited the wrestling scene. Now is the time to renew our Original Series of KOTR! Drew Harper has been wrestling since grade school and has been fighting to get to the top of the 88W heap. Drew joined our roster in 2021 but the Powerhouse boy hasn’t advanced as quickly as he was hoping. He always enters the ring with some trash talking and feeling confident, perhaps today is his day. His opponent, Beastyboy, has traveled all the way over to the USA to show he’s the boss in the ring. Yes, he wanted to take on selected wrestlers from the USA, but there was a much bigger goal in mind. He heard that the KOTR belt is vacant, and his eyes lit up! This is his opportunity for claiming another belt to add to his UKWH Championship belt. He’s 100% confident in himself, also a good trash talker, and he’s not intimated by the big boys. Drew salters into the pressure filed gym first and climbs into the ring where he finds the new Gold KOTR Belt. He picks it up and dreams how it would be to win this belt and declares why not? He deserves it he says. Beastyboy then makes his entrance into the ring to meet his opponent and doesn’t appear to be impressed with what he sees. Drew challenges him to a flex off and as soon as it begins Beastyboy asks him to show his abs, and when he sees Drew’s abs he says “there is none” and has a good laugh. This sets the tone of the match and the contrast of these two grapplers. Drew connects with a swift jab to Beastyboy’s inspiring six-pack and then takes him to the mat and begins to overpower him with a multiple of holds that include a figure-four headlock, scissors, and then hoists him onto his shoulders and body slams him to the mat. Beastyboy fights back but Drew is relentless in his attack. Can Beastyboy rally back? As it should be, this match goes the full 3 rounds and over 30 minutes to determine a new King is crowned. The loser is put to sleep and counted out, while the winner holds the Golden Belt high while flexing his victorious muscles!
